Intake84 constitution notes

Post Party points 11 May 2013

The annual Intake 1984 party organises every year in theUK. So as this year party was organised in London first time in history on 4 May 2013. In over all the party was well planned, prepared and executed however there are always rooms for improvement for next party. Therefore the points are observed for future improvement.

Remaks

1

Date: The day was selected a year ago despite that there were other three main other communities functions. Hence it affected our Nambaries to attend the party.

We would again try to deconflict such dates next year.

Probably in Feb next year.

2

Venue: The venue was in Wembley London this year. The committee analysised the venue has been in right place particularly Nambaries around theLondonarea.

Next year venue would be changed.

May be inSurreyarea.

3

Preparation: The time has been short for preparation due to the booking of the venue. Only the local nambaries and families were there.

Ample time would be organised for next year.

4

Set up the stage and hall: Stage decoration and hall was adequately done.

It would have been better if we had a big back drop of our Intake 1984 for the stage. A welcome banner is required for the entrance.

Our community required to have a stage banner.

The committee would decide on next meeting.

5

Attendance: Total attendance was around 200 hundred Nambaries and families. It was good turn out comparing to previous years. Many Nambaries and families came late fromLondonarea after their routine duties and commitments.

More effort to pass the information for next year event.

An assistant treasurer is needed; hence we would request a nambari.

6

New Registered Members: There were 15 Nambaries registered in our Intake 1984 community. They also provided their photograph with them.

Must do the same next year.

7

Photograph for Registered members: Some Nambaries gave their photographs and some other Nambaries photographs were taken during the party.

Must continue next year.

Web administrator needs update the members list.

8

Donation for the late Nambari and late bhanji : Reasonable amount of donation were raised on the day. The committee thanked to all the Nambaries and families. However, the committee would request to the Nambaries who were not in the party.

The committee will decide date for hand over the raised money to their respective nest of keen.

9

Drinks: The drinks stall was set up bit late as we ourselves organised for selling the drinks for community profit.

We must task a particular group early in advance.

Needs preparation and enough time if do the same next year.

An small amount of profit raised.

10

Food:

Tipan Tapan: Tipan Tapan was at required standard. It is served a bit late than our time programme in just one queue row. The number was high than the committee expected.

Main course: The main course items were again alright. The food was insufficient little bit for about 10 persons. Again opened just from on queue hence it took long time to get through.

We need to scale up our attendance next year as always happens.

We need to make our number accurate wherever possible. We need to make sure the queue needs to open al least in two rows.

The committee needs to work more.

The committee needs to work hard to make the number accurate for next year.

11

Cake cutting: Cake cutting ceremony was organised in our Intake 1984 community annual party. It remarked our Intake numbers or service. The cake was decorated well and the size was enough for all the attendees Nambaries and families.

It was one of the main attractive event and marked our service years.

We continue the same in coming years.

12

Samman to promotees Nambaries: Maj Bhimlal Gurung and his wife were congratulated on his promotion to Major rank in the British Army. So as Jitbahadur Gurung and his wife were also congratulated on his promotion to PS4 in UN service (equivalent toLtColin the British Army).

It is our tradition now and appreciated by all Nambaries and families.

Maj Dhyanprasad Rai, Maj Rajen Gurung, Rtd (Maj) Ratna Pun and their wives were absent this year.

13

Entertainment:

Bingo: One round bingo was organised. Good source of income.

Raffle draw: Raffle draw was on of the interesting segment on the entertainment. Again good income source for the community fund.

Veteran Band: It was the first time a live back was involved and our Nambaries and families involve on it. It gave different taste and believed most of the nambaries and families liked it.

KHUSIKO NAUTCH: The time was short for final KHUSIKO Nautch (cocktail dance).

All the ladies, Nambaries and children took part.

It was attractive and interested segment. More attractive prizes required for next year.

The committee would decide for next year if we continue to use.

Start the entertainment programme early.

Continue to next year.

Continue to next year. A big thank you to all the sponsors.

Ent member make note.

14

Dismantle and wash up: The room and area was dismantled, cleaned and washed after the party. Most of the local nambaries were involved. Nothing damaged everything were in order.

Thank to those Nambaries and families who gave their hands.

The Intake 1984 annual get together party was a huge success. This was not happened without the committee members dedication and hard work. As a chairman I would like to thank all the committee members, families and other Nambaries who directly and indirectly involved to success the unique event. We endeavour to conduct remarkable next year.

“JAI INTAKE 1984”

Chairman's message !

Dear all Nambaries and families,

First of all I would like to thank all my committee members for their very hard work to success the Nambari unique annual party. I also thank all the Nambaries and families locally from Wembley or London area who gave their 100% efforts since booking the hall till final closing down the venue on the day. I again thank all the area representatives who provided attendance return accurately. Obviously the unique annual party would not have been success and enjoyable without their hard work. I believe the party was hugely success, enjoyable with full of entertained and remarkable in the different place in different environment in London area. Particularly the venue was well decorated and set upped, all programmes were run smoothly, the cake remarking 29 years of our service or time was excellent. I have heard the cake was so delicious taste who had chance to taste it. Food were as typical Gurkha type and sufficient. Drinks were served as our choice and again sufficient on the day. There are few points which we could improve next time. It was good for the football crazy nambaries and families who managed to watch live FA Cup final. Finally entertainment with live band has been remarkable. The dancing floor was full with crowd of nambaries, bahinies and bhanja bhanjis. I surprised that we have so talented nambaries and nambarini bahini haru. I am thinking to organise Intake 1984 talent show next year. In the mean time, I would like to thank all the donors for raffle draw items of which we manage to collect some amount of money for our community fund. A big thank to Majors nambaris for their kind donation for the Nambari community. Finally, I once again I thank all my committee members for hard work for their responsibilities. I am sure would do well next year as we learnt something from this party. I hope there would be more Nambaris and bahini haru next year event. See you all next year.
